I have been sneaker "aware" since the Nike Air craze began in the 80's. I wouldn't say obsessed because I only have a mild sneaker fetish compared to a lot of other people. I actually wear all of my shoes. It had gotten to the point where I only had 3 real pairs to choose from and 2 of those pair I've had for over 4 years. To make things that much more difficult, I wear a size 14 shoe. So going out to the local cool shoe store and picking up something that doesn't look like an orthopedic sport walking shoe is very difficult. Thankfully online shoe shopping has saved me. I usually go to Oddball, but I just wasn't feeling their selection in my size. Then I discovered the mecca that is Zappos and I went a little overboard. I received the box yesterday and immediately started lacing them up. I've been parallel lacing most of my shoes for years. But I've decided to make a change and go with various cross over patterns this time around. Yes, I've been known to re-lace a new shoe several times before settling. I admit it's weird. But at least I'm not alone

The rooster? Do you even have to ask? Well it stands about 16" tall and I found it in a local craft store. The goldmine of "my cock" jokes alone is well worth the price of admission. Once you factor it in as an office mascot that we don't need to feed and scaring the crap out of people, the $12 I paid for it seems like downright thievery.
