The entry before this one was Shwew! and the next one is First Blast!.
Woo hoo! After years of reading about it and months of planning on it, I finally shot my first real paint job this week.
It's the fenders for a tow dolly I've been re-doing for a friend of the family that has loaned it to us on short notice a couple times. One fender was beat up pretty bad from a tire blow out. I beat the big dents out and smoothed everything with fiberglass reinforced filler. They still have some dings and rough spots though.
For the paint, I used the House of Kolor system starting with their Epoxy Primer and then putting on black primer sealer with 3 coats of Stratto Blue Pearl basecoat and 5 coats of Urethane Clear. I still need to wet sand and buff to cut the orange peel a bit, but I'm pretty proud of them!
I painted the tow dolly itself in Rustoleum Satin Black. It's also been totally re-wired with new wheels and tires. I'll snap another pic when I put it all together.
