The Sudden Stop

The entry before this one was Moving Forward and the next one is Compressor Rack.

Well, we're reeeeeaaally close to submitting a build of the game to Sony. In fact, I haven't had any bugs for two days. We would have submitted Friday if not for the monster storm that ripped through Washington where our source code server is located. The server is back up, but we're waiting for the developer in Malaysia to check in his fixes before I can put the game together for submission. I feel confident that the game is in good shape. Given that we had less than 5 months, 3 time zones, and some huge risks, I think the game turned out OK. As soon as we go Gold (meaning it's ready to be mass produced) on PS2, we need to get the PC version of the game whipped into shape. I'm hoping it will all be done, save the crying, by the end of December.

For the past couple of days, I have been freed from the nagging feeling that I need to be working on the game project. It's been a little weird getting back into doing a bunch of other things. I've been mostly tending to the new business. On Friday, I went by the bank and got set up to accept credit cards. Then I went to interview for my adult night classes (more on that in another entry coming up), picked up some parts for the truck, and ran a couple of other errands. In the afternoon, I put new spark plugs, plug wires, and fuel filter on the truck.

Today, I swung down to the car lot and helped Dad clean up and move the El Camino to our little storage area we've been working on. Then I headed home to start building a framework for the front of my tow behind compressor so I can mount the blaster and aftercooler. I should be mostly done with the blaster mount tomorrow and I've been taking pics as I go, so expect a step-by-step write up tomorrow!
