It's too damn hot!

The entry before this one was FairTax and the next one is California Love.

....to do any media blasting or work on my cars. It is not too hot, however, to work on the video game project, surf my ass off, and make new friends.

I'm headed out to San Diego the first week of September. One little side trip will be up to Monterey to see my friends Charles and Nadya get married. I decided I'm not doing any media blasting until after I get back. My customers have been very understanding and I've been surprisingly firm on my policy. Fortunately, the revenue for the video game project is enough to keep Blast Off's doors open. There's also been some hints from my current customer that they may be interested in retaining my services for future software work. I expect there will be a meeting while I'm out there to discuss that specific topic.

I've been surfing... a LOT. I think the new board and the free time from not blasting has contributed to it. I think I finally got back to my highest skill level the past couple of months. I might also be in the best shape of my life right now. I haven't had fast food in weeks and I've been eating vegetarian meals when I can. I've been surprised to learn that eating vegetarian out is a little easier than doing it at home. It's something I've always wanted to try and I've found that easing myself into it is working out really well. I don't know if I'll cut (good) meat out entirely from my diet- but just the thought of fast food almost makes me sick right now.

I've been making an effort to get out and be more social. It's been a lot of fun so far and I've made some pretty cool new friends while having a good time with my old ones. I've been kicking around the idea of going back to some of the places I used to live and meeting up with friends I've kept in touch with online. The last time I went to San Diego, we had a little party and it was a lot of fun catching up in person. I've been talking to my buddy Vince about heading up to Chicago when his project is finally done (pick up John Woo's Stranglehold next month!).

I'm going to take my 400th shower of the day now.
