Scam help
The first hour matters
If you think you've been scammed, act fast: the first hour is when a bank can sometimes still stop a transfer.
Right now, in this order
- Call your bank immediately and ask them to stop or recall the payment.
- Report it to the FTC.
- If identity documents were involved, IdentityTheft.gov can help you lock it down.
- Change passwords on any account that shares a login with where it happened.
- Keep every message, call log and transaction record — your bank's dispute team will ask for them.
