Who pays us

Nobody. There is no revenue. Not a subscription, not a paid tier, not an advertisement, not an affiliate link, not a sponsorship.

This matters because we publish figures about how companies treat people. A number is only worth reading if you know who paid for it, so here is the whole answer, and here is what would have to change before it stopped being the whole answer.

The rules we hold ourselves to

What we would take, and what we never will

Would consider

  • Donations from members, with no influence over what we publish.
  • Grant funding from a body with no commercial interest in any company we rank, disclosed here by name and amount.
  • Payment for the published sector reports, from journalists, researchers or the public — the same report, at the same price, to anyone.
  • Sector-matched partner links shown only after a verified win, marked rel="sponsored" and disclosed on this page.

Never

  • Money from a company that appears in any ranking we publish.
  • Payment to remove, delay, soften or pre-brief a figure about a named company.
  • Selling member data, or selling access to it, in any form including aggregate.
  • A paid tier that puts a member’s own dispute behind a paywall.
  • Anything that gives a company a private view of what members are saying about it.

How the figures are produced

Our data is self-reported by members and leans toward wins, because people who win tell us and people who give up mostly do not. We publish the response rate beside every resolution rate for exactly that reason, and we suppress any rate that does not clear our density thresholds. The whole method, including where it is weak, is at /method.

Changelog

Every change to what is on this page gets a dated line here. If a commitment above ever changes, it changes in public.
